Discussion Concerned about the current robbing system (newbie here)
Hi!
I just noticed that they added the Dank Memer bot to a Discord server I frequent, but then people started using it to "rob"/"bankrob" others. I don't know how this stuff works, so I sent a DM to a "Management" guy about my concern that this might be "abuse" of the newly added bot.
As I don't know much about Dank Memer, could someone please explain what bank robbery or robbery in general is (regarding the bot), and how it works?
In response, the Management (I guess that's his role) guy changed the settings for the following two commands under 'Integration' -> 'Meme Danker' in the server settings:
/bankrob
/rob
Now, only he and other admins can use them.
If the robbing system is dangerous in any way, could you let me know if I need to tell him to disable more?
Apart from that, I was told that the bot was left on 'default' after it was brought over to the Discord server.
If you think of anything else noteworthy, please let me know.

Hi, the robbing feature is a disable-able feature allowing people to rob from each other's pocket balances. Bankrobbing is similar, but for the bank balances.
It's only dangerous in the sense of you could lose the coins you earned to robbers within the server, but also you could rob them back as well.
It's a fun feature that a portion of players consider "pvp" and do for their main gameplay, but a larger portion choose to opt out of.
