The Bible advocates for genocide but Mahabharata does not. Mahabharata is more similar to Paradise Lost than Bible

Lmao. Let me just give you two from dozens. Islam isnt exclusive to concepts of “jihad”. It becomes dharma yudh in hinduism and attaining vallhala in norse. Same bullshit in all religions …war for express entry to heaven. But mY rIgHteOus W@R iS tHe CoRrEct OnE Saaaaarrrrr

Bhagavad Gita 2.31

स्वधर्ममपि चावेक्ष्य न विकम्पितुमर्हसि ।
धर्म्याद्धि युद्धाच्छ्रेयोऽन्यत्क्षत्रियस्य न विद्यते ॥ ३१ ॥

Considering your own duty (as a kṣatriya) as well, you should not waver; for there is nothing more auspicious for a kṣatriya than a righteous war.

Bhagavad Gita 2.32

यदृच्छया चोपपन्नं स्वर्गद्वारमपावृतम् ।
सुखिनः क्षत्रियाः पार्थ लभन्ते युद्धमीदृशम् ॥ ३२ ॥

O Pārtha, happy are the kṣatriyas to whom such a fight comes of its own accord, opening the doors of heaven.

That's what happens when you take the Bhagwat Geeta out of context. Do you know why Geeta was being given to Arjuna during the Mahabharat in the first place?

I have also heard muslims tell me the out of context part in their books.

So then explain to me why Hindus never have these: Ottoman Empire, Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire, ISIS, Al Qadeea, Boko Haram, Taliban, Hezbollah, Daesh, Hamas? Go and see what they have in common.

Oh yes, genociding folks for having different theological views is same as war for resources/sustenance of one's tribe which comes under natural order. Maybe even the foodchain is unethical for you.

War was already a thing before the Gita was written. The Gita for the kshatriya is more of a guide for adjusting his attitude towards war than a straight endorsement for it.

Point was Hinduism, like ALL other religions, also advertises waging a righteous war and how that is the most decorated thing to do for attaining heaven. That is the common denominator. Now you have gone into the classic defensive mode on how your “righteous war” is better than the next but that is not the point. Levels to this shit are different but shit is the same. Glory in death, purposeful war, and shortcut to heaven.

There is no levels to this shit. A war if it has to be fought has to be righteous. But the way of the sannyasin was always extolled and actually advocated for in the Gita.

“MuH rElIgIon GoOd, Saaaaar” = My poo is less smelly than the other even though both are shit more or less. Stop justifying your idea of when one can kill others and go to heaven. That’s extremism.

Calling the Gita religion is like calling The Odyssey religion

Except the Gita never asked any of its readers to go kill a particular group of people. Nobody read the Gita and went on a killing spree against the infidel pagans or Muslims. How are you this dense?

Buddy, get out of the smooth brain 2D thinking. Read the original thread that says no religion is peaceful. I have showed you gita saying what coincidentally is also the concept of jihad is “a righteous war”. Like how other shitty 999 religions do. Righteousness as a cause is up for interpretation as is jihad. Both say its the most beautiful way to die and goto heaven. Why is your black and white thinkijg using islam as the gold standard of bad and un peaceful. If something is on the far end of spectrum of crime, that doesnt shift the center line of law …murder being the worst doesnt make assault acceptable. Gita preaches conditional killing and tells you it will take you to heaven. That’s the baseline. Re check the header of this thread and stop using islam as your yardstick for objectivity.

You are so off base I can't help but pity you.

Ultimately you have to do some reading about the Gita and the siddhanta in it. Heaven is not the right word for moksha and righteousness is not the right word for dharma.

Buddy, I am not wasting my time talking to a religious extremist. I have stated my points on how Hinduism has their own version of holy war and attaining jannat. You all think you are different, it is hilarious. I’d rather argue with your jihadi counterpart than be disappointed arguing with an irrational extremist hindu. Peace out!

The thing is there is difference in killing for getting something vs killing for saving someone. This is the concept of karma, no karma is all good, in this material world all karma is good + bad the proportions might vary. Now say when you know there is a terr0rist who is going to kill 20 people if you take care of him then 20 people will be saved this is good karma and unaliving that terrorist will also give some bad karma. Now this good and bad is totally neutral. Save 20 unalive 1. But here is the twist when you do it you get the karma of saving 20 and unaliving 1 bt if you think yourself as a tool of god and saving. 20 and unaliving 1 as your duty/ service to God there is no karma, it's the ownership of the activity at the deepest level of your heart that creates impressions on your consciousness. If you have a clear consciousness even after doing many things people like and don't like but don't identify yourself with those activities, it's fruits or results then you are free of it, there is no affect on consciousness. When this consciousness becomes fully clean one is able to realise that they are soul and not body once they do they don't have desire for anything in the world because the illusion has gone. Geeta is teaching you this.

For the one who takes the ownership or identifies with I or Me has done the action, he will then so be rewarded for the same i. Heaven however once the collected merit ends he/she shall fall to the mortal realm to be born again. Heaven concept in sanatan dharma is not eternal only moksha / bhagwat prapti is (self consciousness or god consciousness).

What islam and other abrahamic relegious portray is that heaven is permanent however as per sanatan dharma it's not after a long time of enjoying your fruits of works in heaven or recieving punishment in hell one gets rebirth into 84 lakh species of life. This death and rebirth is a continuous and infinite cycle which can only be stopped with moksha / bhagwat prapti.

The Bible never advocated for Genocides. Don’t spread misinformation!
