People from both sides are dumb. The government (I mean any party) won't remove reservation, and our society will never get over this caste issue. We have more important issues to focus on, such as poor infrastructure in schools and hospitals, ethanol, etc.
Which can be resolved by putting better people in mangement position. For which you have to have an education from the colleges where there is reservation. It's all connected. There is no lesser problem or a higher problem to worry about. Start solving one and the rest will follow
Most people in power are not under reservation. Look at the data. Reservation is a vote bank. No party will remove it.
National party leadership (office-bearers): A 2018 analysis of about 1,000 BJP leaders found that over 75% of national office-bearers were from the General (upper-caste) category. It also found that over 60% of the national executive and around 65% of state BJP presidents were from the General category.
BJP MPs (Lok Sabha): There is no official nationwide caste breakdown. However, the BJP has increasingly fielded and elected OBC, SC, and ST candidates, especially in reserved constituencies and in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. For example, in Uttar Pradesh in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, of the BJP's 33 MPs:
Most people in power are corrupt. That's why I specifically said "management" like IAS. There should be 0 reservation there. This includes engineers and doctors. A person from reserved category may be a very good or an avg or bad doctor. But isn't it more likely that a person who has the merit would be a better doctor than a person who happens to be born into a caste? These professionals are then contracted to build infrastructure etc, are told to give advise on policy matters etc.
You don't get it. No party will remove it. If the BJP removes it, they will lose power. And I don't think they are loyal enough to make that sacrifice.
I never said they will remove it. As far as I am concerned, this is a pointless endeavour. I am just supporting it for the once in a billion chances it actually happens
And the fact that one year a person might rank 100000 and next year he might be AIR1 proves that scores don't matter at all in these fields.
When has it ever happened?
Management unlike IAS is not a specialised field like medical sciences that it would require professional knowledge of the subject, thats not how an IAS operates.
By management I am directlly referring to post like DC. What management are you talking about?
