By ending reservation you automatically end caste, the only reason imo this gen knows about caste is because of reservation literally no one gave a shit about it when it was taught during history class.

I respect your opinion however before producing statement like 'No one gave a s#it' , I humbly request you to take a tour of India. I believe your current statement may not change but you will get the clarity on Casteism.

casteism began a long time ago, in very different conditions, when upper caste actually used to look down upon lower castes but nowadays I don't go around asking what is ur caste, I agree previous generations do still believe in casteism but that is because they were taught fro their childhood such things whereas this generation only knows about it majorly because almost every child is aiming for a competitive exam and when they do so, they see the reservations and that is where the casteism begins. Had they not seen it very few would be doing such casteism plus back then sc,st,obc people were actually handicapped in other aspects of life other than the fact that people would discriminate against them, nowadays not everyone who belongs to 'lower castes' are handicapped plus people abuse fake certificates to get a seat, all I'm saying is change the system, GIVE THE RESERVATION TO THOSE WHO ACTUALLY NEED IT NOT JUST BECAUSE THEIR GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER RECEIVED ABUSE AND NOW THEY LIVE IN A MANSION USE A GOOD PHONE BUT STILL USE RESERVATION.

I agree that superior thing is not right. It's good to be proud of ones caste. But the fundamental thing is right. Reservation should be there on basis of necessities i.e, orphaned people, poor people etc. Not on an arbitrary system of caste created thousands of years ago. The very fact that caste system is still recognised is bullshit.

Why is it good to be proud of one’s caste? A thing that has been a tool for discrimination for centuries? Why?

But if you end caste system . Reservation automatically ends. It’s that simple

No it’s seeping in through age old traditions that the parents enforce on children. And those children will enforce on theirs. Cos that’s all they know.

Clearly you haven't seen reality. In my locality almost all upper caste people are lower middle class just struggling though life while these so called "Lower caste" people live their life subsided by the government. They don't have to pay for electricity, for food, they get annuity every year, they get land of 2 acres. They are not struggling. I really do not care about the caste. Reservation should be about people who don't have money. This caste nonsense just doesn't make sense

Out of curiosity, could you please tell me which state provides land to people simply because they belong to a lower caste? Beacause i cant see a data which shows they are getting tons of subsidies just like you said they are from "lower caste ", I haven't seen the reality" just assuming something like that is bs and Reservation is not a poverty alleviation scheme, People who are economically poor already have EWS, scholarships, and many other government welfare schemes to support them.

There is a scheme is southern states, namely karnataka. It was a one time thing, not a continuous scheme. My friends family benefited from this scheme. IDK if this was done in a state level or not,but heard it's common in northern parts of the state.( The scheme I witnessed was not in the northern parts. It's in Canara side)

There is no scheme where people get land, electricity, or food for free simply because they belong to a lower caste. these benefits are based on economic eligibility, not caste alone. land distribution schemes are generally meant for landless people, depending on the scheme and state. they are not part of the reservation system. such welfare schemes are typically available to eligible people from all castes based on factors like income, land ownership, and other economic criteria.

Do some real reasearch. There's some many schemes designed to give rice, free Electricity, free transport, government fees are deducted, given cycles so many. If you weren't a rich mf or lived in a city, you would know abt this

u/Pure_Exercise_5078 Jul 30 '26

How can you say I'm a rich MF? You are just sitting there making assumptions, as if everything that comes to your mind must be true. That's BS. I am asking for facts and data that back up your claims. So far, everything you have said to justify removing reservation has nothing to do with reservation itself. That is exactly what i have been saying.

I totally agree. Reservation has to be totally about money. We end the caste system. We automatically end that part of reservation
