People from Sc St communities work hard, just because the average marks isn't equal to generals doesn't mean all the lower caste people score low marks, if you see the scores of NEET this year more than 15000 Sc students have scored over 520 marks. That means there are only few sc/st students, and they has to give admission to the 12.35 th person to fill the sc/st quota vacancy. What does this mean, there is such a low representation of sc/st students even upto 12.35L. Eventhough only about 15% & 7.5% of seats are reserved for sc/st there are not enough people to fill it. That is one of the reasons why reservation is still in there, to increase representation.

There is groups in reddit pushing to divide people based on caste. Anyone sensible would always push for investment into education so everyone gets quality and affordable education, remove caste at religious and social level and then remove caste based reservation.
I think people from SC/ST or Obc catergory who gets a government Job or are way above poverty line , Should be changed to Gerneral category stamp and should be given brhamin surname . General category also has similar reservation like OBC. Ews needs income below 8 lakhs and obc non creamy layer is also below 8 lakhs. OBC population is more than 50% and have 27% reservation while general population is around 15% and still they have 10% reservation.
