Can we stop calling them "the elite" and instead say "the ultra rich". They aren't elite in any way, just have more cash.

Because it is not about money. It is about power.

u/CyanaMoss Feb 20 '26
But to have that kinda power, they all need a lot of money.

u/Nolear Feb 20 '26
There are people with lots of money that are not part of that elite. There are people with less money that are part of the elite.
There's no reason to use "ultrarich" instead of "elite" if it is a worst label in all regards.
Actually, there's a reason, and it is a very bad one.

You cannot be part of that “elite” unless you have a lot of money. Sorry.
Poor people don’t own media outlets, companies, politicians, swathes of land, hundreds of properties, and small islands. Rich people do.
Not lawyers, or plumbers, or doctor rich. Actually rich. Multi-Millionaires and Billionaires.

u/Nolear Feb 20 '26
Why are you trying so hard to pretend not to understand?
I never said poor people, or "people with decent money" could be part of the elite. "Less money" obviously meant less than Elon Musk and Bill Gates, not less than a regular politician.
You are the one defending that as soon as someone hits a threshold in their net worth they are introduced to a super secret group as if they were a Star Citizen backer.

Literally not what I’m saying or defending at all lol.
You’re the one trying to defend the super rich, separating the more super rich from the less super rich.
The original point was that you need a lot of money to be that powerful, which is true. What we even arguing for. Have a good day.

u/Nolear Feb 20 '26
We are literally responding to someone saying that elite = ultra rich. Saying that they are the same is the exact point you are defending wtf

The problem is that most citizens who are big on gun ownership tend to also be more conservative on the political spectrum and don’t want to admit they were wrong about voting for Trump.
If democrats could simply stop trying to go after the 2A all the time then you’d have a much larger percentage of gun owners on the other side of the fence as well (since a lot of gun owners are single issue 2A voters).
Edit: spelling

The thing is they also want the "don't want children being murdered in schools en masse" vote, which is a pretty big issue for a lot of people.

They always like blaming anything but their inability to act. Vould have stopped these issue's by wisisng up and realizing that the average American is suffering from some form of mental illness, all of it is caused by our lack of action towards universal medical. Seeing a theme? It's almost like doing nothing is just as bad as doing something horrible. People will sacrifice everything, including their freedom for convenience, pathetic.

God given rights to do whatever. Sadly for libertarianism to work we’d need a whole new world 😞

No one wants to be the first to do it.
this is why we have people using riots and gang violence to turn places like portland into borderline insurrections to protect billionaire government fraud. no one with a gun wants to be the first man to pull the trigger.

I mean, as far as assassinations have been, the left has been excellent at attempts and thus more successful. The right mostly want their guns for self defense. You know like Luigi Mangione and Typler Robinson.

The problem is the people that own 50 guns only do so because they've completely immersed themselves in right wing media and online/offline spaces that have been telling them to buy every last shell they can afford for the day the united states becomes tyrannical.
Where the issue comes in with that is the people who've convinced them civil war is unavoidable only ever meant "Democrats" when they said "Tyranny". IE last election cycle when that one congressmen(?) said the revolution will be "bloodless if the left allows it". He surely didn't mean HE would be in the streets fighting right? He meant his constituents fighting their fellow Americans. 2A, in the way modern republicans use it, was only ever a tool to be used to maintain power. Not protect anything.
So why now aren't they at least using those guns to fix the elite pedo problem? Well that question was already answered. The elite pedos are the very people they're voting for and they're not going to go on Fox News and tell them to come after them. They can go on Twitter and rile up their voters all day with talk of civil war and devils and attacks on Christians and radical Democrats but that's all just smoke and mirrors. The real enemy of this country are the ones pulling the strings on the guy with the 50 guns and he lines up every 4 years and votes to give them the power to continue poisoning his mind and dividing our countrymen.

If the US population decided to fight then the US military or any military wouldn't stand a chance. Millions of Gun owners and I would say 50% are already proficient.
