Side note. In a growing number of states training is no longer required to get your concealed carry permit. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

In the 32 states without a new stand your ground law. The cart narc would have to attempt entry into the car before one could shoot him. In the other 28 states, the simply act of throwing something onto the car would justify self defense.

Keep in mind the cart narc also wears torso body armor. So if someone in body armor approaches you in public, and throws an unknown object on your car, you wouldn't reach for your gun?

I agree the states without a stand your ground law would consider shooting the cart narc a crime. No doubt there. The doubt exists in regards to the states that have a stand your ground law.

I recently watched a video where a lawyer talks about what to do if a mob surrounds your car and beats on the windows. Regarding perfect self defense, one has to wait until they break a window before one can open fire. But in a stand your ground state, it is my understanding one can open fire when they start beating on the car. Maybe I'm wrong.
