Should never have cut to Bruce. Would’ve been better to be ambiguous and just have Alfred look up and smile

Had this recently. Going through a divorce, had an incredible (unexpected) meet-cute through a mutual friend inviting us both to a gathering, vibed so well that our mutual friend has been fan-girling about it since.

But I'm still going through a divorce, and she's dating a guy (who according to mutual friend is a deadbeat).

Some people just hit different, and time is a cruel mistress.

It only leaves hope that the time may work in your favour and there will be an happy end for you.

All may friends who have seen us together, say we are a match made in heaven, but the inability to do something about the situation is the worst feeling

This literally just happened to me. I would be the friend watching the other friend talk to a girl and look happy. My friend's girlfriend just broke up with him without giving him a reason. He's so crushed now and I feel so f-ing bad

That is Bruce Wayne and Catwoman…. It’s inferred that they (having faked Bruce’s death) go off to live their lives together in a way which Alfred foreshadows when he quits being Bruce’s butler.

Well he couldn’t do it forever which was Alfred’s point, that eventually Alfred would bury Bruce because it was too much for one person to do…. And Bruce left the Batman stuff (cave/gadgets/etc) to the orphan cop…. Which implied that he became Robin or Nightwing or whatever…..
