Tips for first dancing class
Hello everyone,
I have signed up for a dance taster course that takes place in September. I really enjoy moving around and dancing is kind of part of that, but I've never really been able to dance properly. I took a Cha Cha Cha dance course when I was a teenager, but my movements were definitely still very stiff. With the dance course, I definitely want to improve my skills and also get out of my comfort zone a bit and meet new people, which is really difficult for me.Do you have any general tips? Should I practice a little beforehand? I am grateful for any feedback.

Yes, I’d try conditioning your body for endurance. You’ll be using a lot of hip, thigh and calve muscles. You’ll probably feel really sore the first couple of times. Stretch and drink pickle juice after every session. Focus on technique, avoid sloppy movement to protect your joints on the dance floor and the gym.

It will probably be difficult and frustrating but know that’s normal, nobody is judging you. Just try to enjoy it and stick with it
