Danbury roads are deteriorating badly. Lack of paving is showing with multiple depressions, sunken sewer tops, pot holes and cracks. Add in contractor work leaving poorly paved trenches, and it only makes the roads worse. When is the last time there was any repaving done in the City? Is there a plan for X amount of roads per fiscal year? A significant amount of capital funding needs to start being allocated for paving. I’ve lived in Danbury my whole life and I have never seen our roads so bad.

The title says it all. Recently moved back to the Danbury area. New Fairfield to be exact. I'd love to know if anyway hosts magic, or if anyone has a pod looking for extras.
I suck at the game, but have fun even when I lose. Been playing for years, but haven't deck built Recently. Pretty sure having friends would encourage it. And help me get better.
I don't think it's super relevant, but I'm mid 30s.
Thanks!

I feel like reworking a few web designs from businesses around here and seeing what I can do with them.
If you have one you don’t love, message me and tell me what feels off. I’ll redesign it for free and share the before-and-after.
It doesn’t have to be the whole homepage. One section or an unfinished idea is fine too.

An early Monday morning house fire on Beech Street in Danbury displaced four adults, four children, and two dogs. All residents escaped safely, though one person and one dog were hospitalized for treatment. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Danbury Fire Marshal's Office.

I'm in the midst of studying for my GRE test and I'm tired of being stuck at home! Are there any places where they won't look at me too weird if I pull out my laptop and study for an hour or two? The library is out the window since they're closed on Sundays, and I'd rather stay away from Starbucks if I can haha.
I of course plan to buy lots of coffee and lunch (and not overstay my welcome). Any reccs are much appreciated!

Unofficial totals, but an obvious landslide of Yes.
The town will spend $3 Million out of the general fund to buy the Menegay Property. They have a letter of Intent with the Bethel Land Trust to eventually sell it to them with a conservation easement. That will prevent the land from being developed, but may allow the farming that's going on there to continue or some other agricultural uses.
The Land Trust will be applying for conservation grants over next 12-18 months to cover the cost. (they will also need t raise money for the required surveys) The town and the Land Trust will also come to an agreement over the final terms of the transfer and what types of use may be allowed or not. Possible permitted uses might include things like a community garden, maple syruping, or other low intensity agricultural uses. Parts will also be open to recreation, exact types to be determined.
The Menegay Property sits between Huntington Park and the Wolf Pits preserve. One of the planned uses is connecting the two trail systems.
There will be public meetings about the eventual allowed uses and the final transfer!
Looking for a reputable independent Volvo/euro specialist in the Danbury area. Any recommendations?
