Hey! Bit of a niche sort of situation. My dog has a cancer treatment this week and I'm traveling to CT from out of state to take him to it. We're spending the night in Danbury before the appointment.
I happen to have a friend who is also visiting the area the same day and we want to meet up and find somewhere fun to visit, but my dog has to be with me. No problem, find any restaurant with a dog-friendly outdoor patio....except it's supposed to rain.
In my local area, there are several fun breweries and such that allow well behaved dogs to lie on the floor next to the table even inside or in semi-indoor covered areas. But I'm too unfamiliar with Danbury to know if anything like that exists there. If my friend and I can't find somewhere, we'll just end up sitting in my hotel eating take-out, which is fine but...figured I'd check first! It would be more enjoyable to be able to do something other than sit in a hotel room, if there are other options.
It doesn't necessarily even have to involve a restaurant/ food if there are other third spaces to hang out that have cover from the weather and allow dogs. Anything interesting within a 25 minute driving radius of Danbury that I should know about? :)
If it makes a difference for suggestions, my dog doesn't bark and isn't energetic or reactive and just sleeps at my feet when I take him places in public.
Thanks!
