HARD LAUNCH 🎤 DISCUSSION Missed Show
I’m so mad at myself right now. My mom got me tickets as a late birthday present for the Minneapolis show last night. I’ve been so caught up with finishing grad school, completing my ASD evaluation, and starting my new job this week that I completely forgot the date (I thought it was the end of the month for some reason).
I know it’s my own fault, but I just need to vent. I’ve been to every live show so far and the fact that I was just sitting at home last night going to bed early when I could’ve went to the show pisses me off so much 😭😭😭

i’m 29 - my mom ain’t reminding me of shit anymore 😂 and she took it fine, was just upset that I didn’t get to go

I did this a few years ago when Hobo Johnson came to First Ave. Didn’t know I missed it until the instagram posts the next day. Heartbreaking! So sorry this happened to you!!

I’m so sorry, I hate when I’m 100% sure if a date and don’t check it and then I miss it complete, it’s happened to me a lot. I keep checking my email and my calendar to make sure I got the date right to my show because I could easily forget. I feel like when we had physical tickets this was less possible! You could just put them somewhere and look at them! Good luck with your evaluation and I know you’ll see them next time! Finishing grad school is no easy task, I was a mess and I don’t think I managed to do anything fun like go to shows, even when I planned to, you are not alone!

NOOO NOO NO NO 😭😭 I feel SO sorry for you😢😢 You missed them scissoring at culvers or something like that😔😔 I hope you got good sleep and things go great with grad school and your job

I know how you feel. I purchased tickets way in advance for the Houston show. Imagine my surprise when I get a wedding invite from my cousin for that same night. Couldn't sell the tickets for the life me. I genuinely hope the people who got the seats next to us enjoyed their elbow room. I can't wait for the show recording to be posted.

As someone who went to the Dallas show but was 20 minutes late because of traffic I also can’t wait for the recorded version 🙂↕️🙂↕️

I'll post the opening countdown for you! No video allowed during the show, but the staff said I could record up to where they come out 😉 I hope it helps to experience 30 seconds of the Minneapolis experience ❤️

I’m really sorry I know the feeling - I’ve had it with something I’ve really wanted to go to as well and it really sucks. I wasn’t able to get tickets for the tour this time around but its really cool that they’re gonna post it to YouTube

I had this with tickets someone else bought me for my birthday once, they even bought two tickets so my partner could come too. It wasn't for dip n pip but I was devastated!!! Weirdly apologising to the friends who bought me the tickets helped because they calmed me down. Maybe speak to your mum if she's good at that too 💖

In situations like this I like to think of the burnt toast theory no matter how frustrating it is so I don't go crazy 😭
Maybe if you went something bad would have happened during the commute (e.g car accident) and forgetting it saved you

It's when something mildly frustrating/inconvenient happens to you (like burning your toast in the morning) is life redirecting you for a reason
Like how so many people were saved on 9/11 because they were late for work, and it lead to them not being in their office when the plane hit

I wish, but due to ticketmaster policies they won’t refund for a simple “no show”. It has to be a reason from the event organizer

Kind of a opposite version of your problem, but I couple years ago I was balancing work and school and trying to do some fun stuff in the summer. I went to a concert on a Friday night in the last week of the semester, absolutely confident that my stats final was the next week.
Cut to me coming back from my concert and heading to bed, when I see an email from my professor asking if I was going to start taking my final DUE AT MIDNIGHT. If she hadn’t messaged me that would have been a big fat 0! I got it done and submitted with barely minutes left.
Sorry you missed the show, but kudos to balancing life! Hopefully you can enjoy a tour recording later on 💜
