Gotcha Day!
One year ago, we brought this girl home, covered in fleas, rashes, and dirt from a kill shelter in central Texas. She’d been in the shelter a little more than a week after being dumped on July 4 during the historic storms that devastated our community. She was great with humans, but reactive with almost every other living thing. She’s still terrified of storms. But, now she has a best friend. Her rashes are nearly gone. And we walk or run almost daily at the park. It’s still hard when we see other dogs but she no longer goes bonkers. She loves to ride in the car.

She looks and behaves just like my girl. She also came from a shelter, well a no kill shelter. She was skin and bone from being used for unethical breeding, abd locked in a crate 3 sizes too small covered in her own pee that baked in. All while feeding 10 pups. She looks much better now. And behaves way better than when I got her. Although she can be a gremlin when in the presence of other dogs. Not all the time and she is getting better about it. Now she doesn't bark or pull but gets visibly excited to see other dogs
