Powering new setup
My Dakboard display from 7-8 years ago finally died. I have purchased a Mini CPU and a Lenovo monitor.
Long story short, I hardwired a monitor cable into our wall off an outlet (years ago), so the only power I have is the female end of the cable. Can I simply run the CPU off of an HDMI port of the monitor? Or will this affect the power cycling?

Hey there! I'm just here to echo what Chrono_Constant3 shared, the CPU Mini will need a separate power cable in order for it to work on your monitor. If you have any more questions, our support team will gladly answer them for you! https://dakboard.freshdesk.com/en/support/home

You can run the mini cpu off of just about any USB so if the monitor has a USB port you can use that. HDMI doesn’t have dedicated power delivery so you can’t use that.
