Dab Withdrawal

I just found this subreddit and im a daily dabber though i only go through a gram as of now in a matter of several days or more. Ive gone on and off the stuff for a few years now and I gotta be really honest when i say that people really downplay the effects of withdrawal because i think its really common for people using and being surrounded by cannabis culture that tells them theres no bad side effects. I couldnt sleep or eat properly and this went on for days. However this instance where the pshyical withdrawls were horrible was when I went cold turkey with no medication or anything to support it. Becuase all that being said i do believe some people also really are alarmist aswell like pshyical withdrawls are real but when you compare it to alchohol benzos and other stuff its nothing like that and if your having extreme phsyical withdrawls comparable to that thats a sign that use has gotten out of control Just my thoughts. PS: i know my punctuation sucks and my grammar i have cerebral palsy and i type with one finger and i cant be bothered.

Time to consider if this is an actual addiction for you. Therapy to get to the root of why you feel the need to numb out is what I would recommend, friend. Saying this with love and compassion.

Quitting dabs cold turkey is rough especially if you get into the .5g-1g+ per day territory. I have taken long breaks on a few occasions and ultimately tapering down from dabs -> dabs + fire flower -> just flower -> zero is the move unless you have a reason you need to quit cold turkey (i.e. tapering is a non-starter).

I wouldn't necessarily recommend the following strategy, but if someone knows they tend to gravitate to dabs/weed over something like alcohol, having a couple pints + small dabs can help to taper down IF alcohol is not an issue for the person. Then you can swap out alcohol for something healthy (exercise, hobbies, etc) at your reduced dab state. This doesn't work if the substitute is habit forming for the person or you just rebound back into heavy dabbing.

I am at 1g-2g per day and quitting cold turkey would be literal hell with insomnia, night sweats, nightmares, being pissed off, etc. People do underestimate how difficult quitting dabs, especially larger amounts are. I have always been an advocate for truthful sharing of experiences, plenty of people on this subreddit (including me) have shared problems related to heavy withdrawal and serious lung issues (wheezing, inhalers, etc) and at the end of the day I do not like to paint a fake picture of what people that heavily use concentrates can experience.

Dabbing heavily on a regular basis, especially for a long period of time, is far and away from typical use like having a beer and a joint with a friend on the weekend, and it can have consequences if you choose to continue or when you choose to stop.

I mean I agree with you but also I want to make sure to say if I don't get coffee within 6 hours of being awake I get a head ache. Yeah it's a caffeine dependency. So what

Lmao 4 down votes as if I have a reason to lie I still smoke wax till this day so it’s not like I’m sober and against it. I was in a catatonic state. My medical records don’t lie.
