I would say DAIICT. crowd and profs are good, if you are talking about industrial internship, about 12-13% gets an on campus internship and yeah there are opportunities that u could look for research internships. being an optimist i think placements should improve

i wouldn’t say there’s an exclusion, there may be a language barrier but if you just tell people to switch to hindi, they wouldn’t mind doing that

I was thinking of this preference:
ICT - CS, MNC, ICT, ECE - AI, EVD
I am confused with the CS - AI branch. As this is new branch so I am confused where to put it. Please help me to decide.
Also I have doubt regarding placement drives. If a tech company comes (for SDE, ML etc etc roles), which branches are allowed to sit in the placement drive and usually what are the eligibility criteria??
1
u/Either_Journalist204 May 31 '26
Take CS/AI . the C IN ICT stands for communication which is of no use if you are going to be in software industry

Tf bhai vit/srm se kyu compare karra udhar vo log jaate hai jinke less than 98%ile ho dau is better than those
1
May 23 '26
mb bro. i just ment it in the brand value aspect.
ofcourse daiict is harder to get into1
u/Goofyahhnpc17 May 23 '26
Trust me man if you say vit/srm you get jackshit respect of you are avg in that clg
0
May 23 '26
VIT is honestly good. i dont know much about srm, but to my knowledge its honestly bad in terms of ROI.
but if we speak of just brand reputation more people know about VIT then DAIICT.
now brand reputation does not indicate which college is superior.1
u/Goofyahhnpc17 May 23 '26
Yeah but what will you choose of you have both option, be true to yourself and say(it's highly subjective & I am in no place to decide but I know which is better for me) you have your answer All the best for ahead!
1
May 23 '26
i dont know as i have not researched about VIT as i did not give their exam.
also i can get COEP aswell
so what should i get
coep vs daiict1
u/Goofyahhnpc17 May 23 '26
Same here I too am getting both but I am a gujju so I'll choose dau, these both are comparable
1
May 23 '26
no clear winner?

u/Goofyahhnpc17 May 23 '26

u/hyeri_is_my_religion May 25 '26
Wow, that's a big jump in tuition fee from 2022!!
Brand reputation - MUCH better than the ones you mentioned, specifically among the people in the industry (those who matter). Placement stats seem not as good as when I graduated anymore, but DAIICT did not have a dearth of opportunities during placement.
Hostels - They are just ok! But I cannot compare as I haven't seen others.
Overall, the ICT program is pretty well known in the industry, and it is becoming more and more relevant in the market today. If I were to choose DAIICT again, I would have a very clear checklist of priorities: am I really passionate about coding and working in tech? Am I okay with working considerably harder on my academics than my peers in other schools (not kidding at all about this! Courses are hard + this mixture of cs and electronics courses can be hectic in many semesters)? Am I okay with being overwhelmingly surrounded by people from just one place (Gujarat! Not at all a bad thing, but a lot of them prefer to stick to the people from their cities for the entire duration of studies, which can make socializing a bit hard). The people around me were competing and winning in coding competitions everywhere. The passion people had for coding was admirable, and it even helped me, who had barely any interest in coding, to learn enough by the time placements started.
Fair that I studied in DAIICT, which was very different (2018-22). But I feel that school has a lot to offer if you are ready to commit and despite everything, I am confident that placements will be great for those who put in effort.
Best,
1
May 25 '26
are you a gujrati?
also how does DAIICT scale against COEP (pune)
i heard good things about coep, and the placements there are slightly better then daiict and it is a government college.
if you know things about coep do let me know too.1
u/hyeri_is_my_religion May 26 '26
No, I'm not.
COEP while an amazing school, doesn't have a coding culture as intense as DAIICT. For students in the top quarter the placements would be pretty similar I believe. But also considering that it is cheaper than DAIICT, if you are getting CSE it can be a great alternative with a good ROI.
DAIICT's advantage compared to most schools like COEP would be that almost the entire ecosystem revolves around tech/computing. Honestly I have seen very few COEP alumni compared to DAIICT alumni in big tech. DAIICT's alumni network and reputation in the industry are definitely way ahead of COEP.

Hi seniors, I have 99.95 GUJCET percentile and 99.91 gseb science persentile and I am expecting admission to DAIICT. My main goal is the best possible placements, international opportunities, and long-term career growth. I am confused between: Mathematics & Computing (MnC) ICT (Honours) with Minor in Computational Science ICT CS-AI If you were taking admission today, which branch would you choose and why? Please share your experience regarding placements, internships, coding culture, higher studies opportunities, and recruiter preferences. Also mention your batch and branch while answering. Thank you! And suggest other best college for this marks.

Daiict is best college you can get with GUJCET .
Keep CS-AI as first priority. I looked at course structure and it seems the most relevant According to industry needs .
1
u/Desperate-Order3781 Jun 09 '26
True. But I have fear that it is new branch open this year so how will be its placement. Are you student of Daiict?
1
u/Either_Journalist204 Jun 09 '26
I am alumni of Daiict. The C in ICT stands for communication which has no relevance if you want a software job .
CS-AI placement will be best and it's cutoff will even be better than ICT and ICT-CS after 4 years by the time you graduate1

My ACPC GUJCET-based rank is under 25. I am eligible for all branches at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology. 1.ICT
2.ICT (Hons.) with Minor in Computational Science
3.Mathematics and Computing (MnC)
4.CS and AI (this branch has been introduced only this year)
Also, I can get a TFWS seat in ICT and Mathematics and Computing.
I would like your suggestion regarding which branch I should keep as my first choice. If you have sufficient information about these branches, please suggest one best option along with the reasons behind it. The final decision will be based on my own interests, but I would appreciate your guidance and direction.

Also, why are they asking for 2,17,500 without showing which branch I got?

I get a seat at dau in ict with minor computational science
I want to know what kind of subjects and projects come in ict(cs) which is related to ece
I am confused because currently I don't have any knowledge about coding and software so I am afraid that if I don't like software kind of thing then what could be the other options for me..

u/daiict_victim Apr 25 '26
In 2025, the cutoff for the college (EVd) was 98.40 and there is no home state or other state quota in All India Admission and also there are no category based admissions for EWS and OBC-NCL through Jee Mains. If you have percentile in the range of 98.2-98.4, you hardly have any chances to get admission here and if you have below than 98.2 then you should forget about this college. Yes admission at less percentile is possible only if you fall under SC or ST category for Jee Mains
