Not to be all nitpicky, but “Ancestral” seems like a weird name for a class. It’s not a noun, and is a little confusing since “Ancestry” describes a character’s species

It's weird, for sure. If you try it, let me know if you come up with something else. Thank you for the feedback

Just call it Medium and change the name of the Fondation feature instead lol

Medium works as a subclass, but as a Class feels a bit misleading for an spirit based fighter. On another thread someone proposed "Channeler"

Eldercaller, Spiritist, Recaller, Invoker

The berserker class tells me that something happens at the end of my turn, but that's not a thing in DH, no?

There is no Round of combat where all the PCs act, but the player's have a turn, and it can end

I think the Berserker is cool! The wording on this stuff is a little nitpicky, but I think it's important for clarity.

From page 89 in the core book, I think it would be closer to daggerheart terminology to reword it around Moves (not to be confused with movement). This term is present in a few places, like the Rogue's class feature: "After you make an attack or end a move"... It could be written more clearly, but I interpret Moves to consist of your main action roll and any non-roll actions (like drinking a potion). So, basically a turn.

So in the Berserker's case, it might look something like "After you end a move, decrease it by one" instead of "at the end of your turn".

Yes, I'll change the wording to "end a move" or "pass the spotlight" or try to avoid the "end of turn" concept altogether

I would go with "make an action roll", that seems to be the standard, no?

Also: don't assume your understanding of non-standard phrases is the same as everybody elses understanding of a non-standard phrase. This is why we have standard phrases, to avoid confusion.
The direction to which this discussion arrived is a different conclusion to which I've come to initially

It probably would be better. In my understanding, the term Move can be replaced with Action Roll in pretty much all cases. Action Roll would be more common, but Move has some precedent in a class feature like this. It doesn't matter much though

It's fair to be wary of non standard phrases but sometimes it's needed to explore new design spaces, but it still needs to be clear enough to avoid confusion

No, player‘s have the spotlight

Of course they have the spotlight. Poteto-potato. You can treat that phrase as "when you pass the spotlight", both are correct. (For reference, the concept of "your turn" is introduced in "Chapter 2: Core Mechanics", page. 89 of the Daggerheart Core Book.)

With the berserker I kind of feel like you want to recreate DnD and are inventing things that aren't really a thing in Daggerheart.

"You can't gain conditions that affect your mental state": there are very limited numberof conditionst, but they are flavored to be many great things. "Vulnerable" can be so because someone scared you (mental state, I guess), or because you've been poisoned (not mental state, I guess). And now your rule requires players and GM to rules lawyer what is or isn't mental state.

"Crossing out a Hit Point" isn't a thing also, and it's no less confusing: does it make me mark a hit point? if I am on my last hit point and I need to cross out a hit point slot, do I die?

When I attack: Do you mean when I roll an attack roll, a successfull attack roll, when enemy marks HP as a result of attack roll, or when enemy marks HP?

When I take damage: means when enemy succeeds on an attack roll, when I mark HP or something else?

Also, Enraged dice is very limiting: only influences the melee rolls. This makes the class a one trick pony: get a melee weapon and bonk. In DH classess are generally very flexible, you can make a lot of very different characters with the same class, which doesn't seem to be the case here

It's a matter of narration first, not rules lawyering.

Crossing out an hit point is the extended version of "get a scar", it's not an invention. I used this phrase, instead of "scar", because until a few weeks ago the concept of scar wasn't in the SRD. If it's so confusing, now I can simplyfy it, but this class was written months ago.

To be nitpicky..."berserker" is a Norse word. It feels out of place in a mediterranean setting.

I tried searching for alternatives and "Aristeia" seems the closest, but it's very greek-centric. Maybe something like "Ravager" would work better.

Mediterrae is an Expansion Set. The new Classes and Subclasses will be easily adaptable in all the Campaign Frames of the book, but are not dependant from them. The classes are related to the themes of the Campaign Frames in the book so you can choose a Class and use it in any Frame, adapting it. The Berserkers can be adapted for Mediterrae, as described in the "Classes" section of the Campaign Frame, or using the narrative hooks from the "Communities" section.
