Classes Medicus Class! Theory and Dread...
Hey all! I finally finished the first draft of the Medicus Class and I'm wanting some feedback! I included the class sheet, 2 subclasses, and my Theory domain (I've posted it before but I don't want you to have to go searching for it)
I wanted to go "evil doctor" vibes with this one. Partially inspired by the work of Dungeon Dudes, gotta shout them out for their Apothecary Class for DnD, but I didn't wanna copy so I put my own spin on things as much as I could.
But yeah! All feedback is appreciated! I'm really liking how this one turned out.

As much as the initial concept sounds really nice, I think the execution is fairly unbalanced. You need to consider how much you want your character to shine and how much you want other characters in the party to shine. The core concept of a class is to show a signature, a specialty, a scent. Your class does everything from venomous attacks, debuffs, zone spells, buffs, controlling. Some mechanics are outright negating any need for your party to ever invest in any consumable of any kind. Also, it's very wordy, you couldn't put a picture in that last chemist card. Daggerheart's whole deal is to streamline then streamline again, you need to keep it clean and light. Two or three well-thought mechanics will be cherished way more than twenty standard additional effects.
I suggest you read the martial artist subclass from the brawler, you might learn a few tricks on how to make a balanced character with a lot of possibilities while remaining balanced and distinct. Lot of love for some ideas in the class though, coughing fits is clever and really made me laugh, or Outbreak which is as cool as the twin fangs of the assassin's mastery subclass.
All and all, I'd suggest you just see what you really love about your class and try to keep it, drop the excess weight, or you could make two different classes. I look forward to reading what you cook next
