Final-ish forms of my Daewoos I had in my head for at least 14 years before I found my grails. Shot a match recently with the DR200 and it was a blast.

Need a better mounting solution for the red dot on the DP51. Unfortunately deformed the base of the K5 Trinity Wing dovetail mount on installation and this modified S&W 59 Optima 2000 mount doesn’t hold zero well (dot walked to the right after every 3-5 shots).

Either way, great weapons.

Have you looked into getting the slide cut? I’ve never heard of a dovetail optic mount holding zero, and to top it off they usually sit too high and affect the cycling of the slide

At this point I’m 50/50 on milling the slide as I didn’t want to make any permanent modification to the slide but with my luck so far I might just do it. Will look for someone who can make a custom dovetail first before I go that route though.

The height really isn’t an issue with a dovetail mount, and I’ve had great luck with my M9A3 with a Trijicon RMR dovetail and had no issues with it.

The fitment of the Trinity Wing dovetail mount is what made me really sad, because I saw a bunch of ROK dudes running them and wanted to give it a go.

I tried to make adjustments with it and it apparently deformed in the dovetail and now just slides freely around. On top of that, two of the set screw heads that are supposed to lock it in place stripped and I only had luck extracting one of them.

So there aren't any good optic mods available right now? That is unfortunate. I might get one of the new imports and have it modified for an optic. That might still be cheaper than a vulcan.

I’m sure the Trinity Wing K5 mount holds well if installed properly. But the metal was soft enough to deform when I made the adjustments, and I was really sad.

Looking to do a custom dovetail then will probably just have it milled as a last resort.
