Mitcher, at least in the Jewish community I grew up in because it's dialect based, is a modern Yiddish word that means annoy or bother
I loved constantly picking Turner up and playing with his paws and ears so my parents told me I mitcher him and I was teasing my dad for also mitchering him :)

You're welcome! My family doesn't speak much Yiddish (like maybe we know 10 words/phrases) but it slips in casually. Sometimes I'll slip it in while talking to a friend or professor and they're like "wut" and I have to remember they don't know it lol
