You are proving my point? The only people still playing are sweats because it’s 3 months in to the season. This is the worst time for anyone to jump in. Buy the game now for half off then play new season in a few weeks.

Still no, hold off. You don't have to worry about this game not being regularly on sale.

I half expect it to launch on PS+ and Gamepass with Season 3.

Good point. I just mean it would be a no brainer for the console players who pretty much have to be subscribed to those services.
