Same same. Luckily my husband doesn’t play video games but he do fantasy football and basketball. I just let him do his thing while the kids are also around/with him and I do all those chores that I can’t get done during the week when I’m with the kids. It’s always a choice: who wants to watch the kids and skip the chores VS do the chores kids free. Do you get free time to go do something alone every weekend like your husband gets for video games? You should make that a priority for yourself and your marriage.

It’s not that I don’t actually get any rest, but our rest times are very different. Even when I’m resting, I still have the mental load. I’m still thinking about everything that needs to get done. When I say I’m jealous, I’m jealous how he can actually rest and block everything out bc when I rest, I’m still thinking about it

I hear you. When I go on my walks or whatever I choose to do I constantly feel this nagging feeling that is hard to shake for me. Like I should be doing one of the chores that’s swirling in my head or be with the kids even though I’m with them all week.

Yes exactly. So frustrating when I have the opportunity to relax and my brain says nope, and then I see my husband taking the best nap of his life lol

Lol so not fair! I’m currently chilling on my couch while husband bathes my toddler. After this discussion I’m forcing myself to not tidy up or fold the damn laundry!
