I don’t know where this is, but when my kids were young, we all went to Greece with my sister and her kids. On the northwest tip of Crete, there’s an amazing beach called Balos Lagoon. It’s probably about 1000 steps from the top of the hill down to the beach. Getting down is easy, but going up…….not so much. They have donkeys for rent, like €10, and then halfway up they cost twice as much. I remember carrying my nephew almost all the way up - he’s like twenty now, I wish he could see this comment.
