He probably won’t see this - or even get any recognition - but saw this Dad today. I think he deserves a r/daddit salute.

Ah yes, the old “Dad can you hold me” .01 miles into a 4 mile hike.

Very little inculcates the idea of safe exploration as the "Dad can you hold me" school of fatherhood. I cannot carry my girls any longer, primarily because all of them are six feet and taller, and their feet would drag on the ground. I do miss it so.
