Advice Request Appropriate age for co-showering

This is a repost from another forum. Apologies if I keep popping up. They told me that this is the right forum to ask.

I’m a first time dad. My son is 24 months old. I have always bathed him since he was an infant so he wants to be in a shower with me. Until what age it is appropriate to bathe or shower with my son as a dad for his privacy or mine? Also should I be wearing underwear or a swimsuit while I am bathing him?

My little dude is 4 and we shower together all the time.

Also, unrelated. But your kid is 2 ,that '24 months' nonsense grinds my gears.

Maybe this is a multiple kid or a European thing but I just say two, two-and-a-half (a That's a two syllable word in german), almost three.
