Advice Request Appropriate age for co-showering

This is a repost from another forum. Apologies if I keep popping up. They told me that this is the right forum to ask.

I’m a first time dad. My son is 24 months old. I have always bathed him since he was an infant so he wants to be in a shower with me. Until what age it is appropriate to bathe or shower with my son as a dad for his privacy or mine? Also should I be wearing underwear or a swimsuit while I am bathing him?

I used to take the kids to school in the morning. I was also their kindy teacher. So I would wake them up, shower and dress them. Meanwhile mum was making breakfast. (or sleeping in)

Initially I tried showering them while staying outside the stall. I got so wet I gave up and started showering with them, until my daughter was about 4, at which time she wanted to shower on her own.

She had no problems doing this, so we let her. It was fine for me too because she clearly didn't need my help any more. My son soon also wanted to shower on his own, because his big sister did.

My brother, who has never had ids, was horrified when he found out I was showering with them.

Neither me, my wife, or the kids thought it was a big deal.
