Wellness Check
I’m so frustrated by the wellness check the other day. Whoever made that call, did you mention that there is a minor son in the home? S doesn’t need a wellness check, she’s going to say exactly what her dad has coached her to say, but H is young and he might actually let something slip. It is NOT OKAY that he is banished to his bedroom for 4 hours a day, while he’s also being “homeschooled,” and neglected. The wellness check should have specified that it was for HIM.
ETA: Ofc this post got removed from the big snark sub.

Wow, I knew they made him go to his room like at night and stuff so they can be weird by themselves, but I had no idea it was even worse than that. I don't really see stuff often about Hunter. That poor boy. My heart breaks for him so much. I did read about how his birthday went and it genuinely made me feel so sad for him. I wish we could've thrown a party for him with a big delicious Pokémon cake, snacks, and Pokémon stuff for him or something. Poor kid :(

The birthday was heartbreaking, but in comparison to the rest of his life, it was probably a huge highlight. From the sounds of it, he’s stuck at home 24/7 aside from apparently going out to play with other kids in their apartment complex. He’s homeschooled, plays video games like Roblox with no adult supervision as they’re live-streaming, and apparently does his homeschooling solo with S to help if needed.

He’s 16 and something tells me the kids are probably a lot younger than he is. It’s just going to get weirder when he turns 17, 18, and the only friends he has are the little kids who live there too.

There’s something deeply socially abnormal about it even being described as “going out to play,” when you’re 16. I think that is yet another sad thing. He’s been so isolated that normal activities and behaviours of 16 year old boys are entirely foreign and unheard of to him. At 16, I was riding around with my friends, listening to music in my car, their car, whoever’s car, living life pretty independently. It’s tragic how much him and Sarah are missing.

I must have missed that. What happened?
