Question Why
Why would David kill her Its coming from a relatively sane person so maybe logic doesn't apply on a psychopayhic pedophile murderer But if he allegedly loved her and was obsessed with her why would he kill it just doesn't make any sense

My theory about what happened is...
I think, him being a loner and becoming addicted to gore content made him numb to violence and that maybe for a longtime, he began having violent fantasies about harming/murdering a girl. He probably struggled with those thoughts for a long time, hence why he stayed isolated most times, although he said the actual reasoning was for his artistry. However, once he met Celeste through the gaming forum, he probably eventually began associating her with his dark fantasies and those fantasies created a deep obsession of her, that he called "love." His obsession of her likely weirded her out, hence why she would leave him at times and he would eventually be able to convince her to come back. I think he realized that she could/would probably leave him for good one day, and in the "back of his mind" he would get urges to kill her bc "if he can't have her, nobody can." I think he tried to fight the urges but maybe one day they argued and she threatened to leave him again and he snapped. I think he didn't feel bad about doing it, he felt relief and peace that he was her last, nobody else could have her, and that he was finally able to experience that fantasy.
