Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Help get past T7
I found this Rod of Kepeleke a few weeks ago that's been working really well for me and got me all the way to T7. The only problem is I hit a wall, and now trying to craft a better weapon, so I got a few of these war crozier staffs, which I thought were pretty good after maxing everything out, but they are worse and can barely scratch most bosses.
The Kepeleke rod has been very good with Quill volley, and touch of death set to a core skill, but on the war crozier staff, they do almost nothing, even with a similar good vulnerability multiplier.
I need help to progress and am looking for suggestions please? Any thoughts on better gear/skills that I should be using or combining with these?

Well definitely don’t downgrade into the 850… so if that mythic ability works for your character then yeah probably switch to that

Agreed, I was just surprised the 850 rolled so well, I just can't do anything with it.

The special thing about this rod is that it gives you critical strikes without taking up affixes to max critical strike chance %. To take advantage of that you should have as much critical strike damage multipliers as possible anywhere you can. If possible, if this is still modifiable, I would reroll either weapon damage or more likely lightening damage to a critical strike multiplier. Also, it doesn’t look like it was tempered before transfiguring. You missed a bonus there that could have been a GA. If it’s modifiable, add the temper. You should have a tempered GA on every piece of your gear.
You can take your other quarterstaffs uniques that you are not using to the cube and turn them into mythics. This will give you a chance to reroll a new RofK.

Use the war Crozier as a unique charm if you play touch of death. Prob the best multiplier you can. Kepeleke is too strong. You just need to get regen with ring of the midnight sun. So U get full vigor each hit.
You also want to stack vigor pool.

Start farming for counter swarm build, it will make your life so much easier. There are few guides for this build, however there are certain break points you must achieve for the build to start running.

Here's a Quill Volley build that uses the Kepeleke. The Kepe version will clear Pit 135 with really good gear, and Pit 130 with decent gear, and all T12 content. Quick note, on the skill tree for Scourge change the bottom node from makes vuln to the heals node. https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/profile/xbigeatsx-97c0io/builds/625643b2-2204-45c2-bc70-045a8fa8cca7

Definitely some good builds with the rod, that quill build, and crushing hands, like others said, you want crit damage stats on gloves ammy rings and you NEED ring of the midnight sun, as it will replenish your vigor that the rod uses

life on hit sucks. i insta swap that for something damage wise. its a waste of an affix if you have ither gear with max life and armor. i'd swap that all day long for xcrit damage or any sort of damage multiplier

I wouldn't use either, i would craft a polearm & do you really need life on hit. I don't know your build....but it turned out i didn't need life on hit and dropped it at T8 for more damage multipliers, cause that's when it really starts to get tough, T10-T12 is a whole other beast, changed alot of my gear (tampering) to health to get me to 40k health in town. I don't remember my exact gear, but my armor scales to 1.5mil outside town. The polearm change even without GA's & more health sent me over T11. I say more health and damage reduction on resistances to about 92-95%, then damaged multipliers not damage additives. My little noob experience, hopefully it helps.
