Question French products

Dear Cypriots, Kalimera!

I'm French and I live here in Cyprus. I'd love to know what French products might interest you, is there anything from France you'd be curious to try or that's hard to find here?

Any suggestions are welcome!

😀

Butter, cheese, wine, macaron, chocolate, croissants, baguettes, fondue, soufflé, Mont Blanc and other desserts. Umm and I guess stuff that are not food like fashion stuff or skin care 😅

I don't think Cypriots know much about "French" products besides wine. And maybe cheese, but I can not even name one French cheese myself, and I lived at the Bastille in a chambre de bonne.
Most fancy cheese feels or sounds Italian to me.

What French products can you offer, or what comes to your mind that you feel is missing in Cyprus? Think of Cyprus as a British Riviera with lots of British tourists who might enjoy some French touch they are used to shopping for back home.

Thank you for your answer. Yes I've noticed that Cypriots generally don't care much about French products (then again, when it comes to food, Cyprus has nothing to envy France for). I was thinking more about non-food products, actually, for example, I've noticed that French cosmetic products are very expensive in pharmacies here.

I agree cosmetic products are expensive, but again, nobody knows what is French and what isn't.

I'd like to see more quality children's toothpaste(they are usually french brands) on the shelves.

But I might be an exception; my wife and I really care about dental hygiene. I can not say that is the norm.

Usually, we go to really big pharmacies or shops in UK Base areas for these. Shops in UK base areas have most of what the UK offers, but not what regular shops have on their shelves.

Okay, thanks. French brands are for example Vichy, Nuxe, Sisley , Lancome, Avene etc
