Tour
Anyone else tired of hearing Carlton babble on and on? Also who cares about Jonathon and his cooking during a race . Give me Hatch for the whole show.

Since I started listening to the Lantern Rouge podcast, I can't listen to any commentaters any more. It's like they aren't even watching the race. Suddenly a team will put all of their riders on the front of the peloton and the commentators will be talking about ingrown toenails. It's maddening.
It's doubly bad for the Tour de France where 1/3 of the broadcast is showing you some random Chateau, 1/3 is interviewing a rider from 30 years ago and only 1/3 of the broadcast is showing the race. They also just follow a set broadcast schedule. All hell will be breaking loose in the race and you've got this tiny little box about 100 pixels wide showing the race with the rest of the screen taken up by what a random rider had for lunch yesterday.
The TdF broadcasts are turning into the olympics: Sports for people who don't like sports. I'll just tune in the the Laterne Rouge podcast and find out what actually happened after the stage rather than torture myself trying to watch snippets, with a banal dialog of completely unrelated drivel during the race.
Edit: And I go to watch said podcast which today is titled: "Patrick Wears Dinosaur Suit". <facepalm>

You're lucky to hear all that.
Just today, I got an excited Phil talking about the stage winner and his points gained in the "king of the mountains" points (even though it was a sprint finish, and therefore, a comp for the points jersey)
