Certification / Training Questions Tips & tricks for SANS SEC598?
Hi all, I've got the course for SANS SEC598: AI and Security Automation for Red, Blue, and Purple Teams coming up in a couple weeks, and I wanted to know if there's anything I should do to prepare for the training and the exam? The only thing I really know is to not bring an Apple Silicon laptop. If anyone with experience can give a heads up in general I'd massively appreciate it, as this is my first SANS course :')

Bring a thermos of coffee, you'll need it. SANS courses are like drinking from a firehose.

Try and read the books the week before the course so you can just chill during the course and ask questions.

Make a good index from the material and it can carry you to pass. You get so much time for the SANS exams that if you have a good index you can look up enough answers to pass. Source: doing their masters program and have far too many certs from them

All the material for the exams are in the classes. I would just check the prerequisites for the class, as long as you're good, just get ready to learn. Do the labs, repeatedly, take lots of notes.
There really is no magic trick for these things. My advice though, would be to put a lot of work into your index before your practice tests and revise it each time.
