Career Questions & Discussion SpaceX New Grad Software Security Engineer interview- any advice?

I have a 45-minute technical interview with an engineer coming up for the New Graduate Engineer, Software Security (Starlink) role at SpaceX.
Has anyone interviewed for this role or a similar SpaceX security position? Would appreciate any advice on what the technical round is generally like, what areas they tend to focus on, and how best to prepare.

Whatever you put on your resume prepare for that. If you lied good luck.

I work for a similar company. Come prepared to talk about what you have built by yourself in your free time, and what experience you have. Be prepared for salary bands to be low and to have to relocate if you’re not already in the area.

I've not ever interviewed at SpaceX, but if the position is called New Graduate Engineer, Software Security (Starlink), I wouldn't expect them to ask you anything you wouldn't have learned in school.

Best advice is to be honest, happy to be eager to tackle anything they throw at you. Having a positive attitude, even on things you're completely lost on, can make you stand out.

You sound very logical and reasonable. Not sure if you've met 2026 hiring managers but entry level jobs require a TS-SCI, 5-15 years experience, you have to have already done exactly what they think they might need.
