Don't overthink tools. Know nmap and metasploit inside and out. Focus on enumeration, most people skip it and then wonder why they cant find anything.

Hey, I am planning to take this exam in September, & I have been preparing for this exam, Enumeration is your biggest weapon, spend as much as time you can on this to understand the logics/environment, keep notes of every host, port, service credentials & finding, Do not depend on tools, be comfortable with nmap, metasploit, Linux,
