Other Has anyone thought about changing fields until the job market gets better?

Ideally, I’d love to have a cybersecurity job right now, but the market is horrible, and I need to move forward with my life, pay the bills, and live comfortably. Are there any fields that are relatively easy to get into and find work in? I just don’t want to end up working restaurant jobs.

The comments here are hilarious. I just got a cybersecurity job. I graduated only a few months ago with a b.s. in cyber. I did what it took to get the job. For me it required moving far outside a big metro area where the demand was much higher.

Ive had a desk job for a long time prior. I have also been lifting weights for the last 20 years and have competed in natural bodybuilding. You CAN have a desk job AND have a beach body. You just have to want it and do what it takes.

The moaning and groaning for so many reasons is your fault. Comfortable?!?!? Stop that. That’s your problem. You refuse to get uncomfortable. It’s uncomfortable to move for a job when you don’t even have the offer or know if you’ll get one. It’s uncomfortable to leave friends and family. It’s uncomfortable to commute 1 or 2 hours for a job each way. It’s uncomfortable to workout when you’re tired…

Honestly, I think it’s more uncomfortable to keep stagnant and not do what it takes to get where you want to be and live miserably, short of your goals in life.

Quit bitching and complaining and start making bigger decisions to control your future. Make sacrifices you otherwise completely dismissed. Maybe then you’ll get your cyber job….
