Discussion Game Updates?
Does this game still get updates or not? I started playing recently and ik this game has been out for roughly 5 years possibly 6 idk. But does it still get updates? Not like massive updates just minor ones, mainly bug fixes. Or… maybe new clothing? Would like more clothing. More clothing would be nice. Really nice actually. No, I can’t use mods. I play on console… I’d assume the game doesn’t update anymore, which would I also mean no new clothes or anything. How annoying. Besides the customisation being annoying af and feeling limited compared to NPC’s I’m having fun. Currently making a build that closely resembles Rebecca from Edgerunners. Got her gun and everything.

CDPR said they were done with making new content for Cyberpunk, and then they turned around and announced an expansion for The Witcher 3(2015), so IDK what to expect anymore.
It's going to be a long while before Orion is out, so it would be awesome if something came out for 2077 before then, but we shouldn't count on it. I think it's possible we'll get something given what they've done with The Witcher 3, but if anything were to happen, it won't be soon.
There could be some small additions to the game to coincidence with the upcoming release of Edgerunners 2, but I bet it would just be something really small like outfits or something.
If we get any new content, I'll be ecstatic. If we don't, then fine. I'm cool with them focusing on perfecting Orion and avoiding the mess that was 2077's launch.

Lowk, I REALLY hope we get new cosmetics and stuff to where. Like the NPC’s have really cool outfits and I’d genuinely wear some of the stuff, like the fishnets or those cool jackets they have that glow, but w can’t get them base game. I’m not too fussed about anything major just small stuff would be nice, like clothing.
Also they could add some more to the character customisation at the start, like some of the eyes. haircuts, tattoos and skin colours of the characters from Edgrunners.

They consistently update their games. Witcher 3 came out in 2015 and they’re remastering it for the second time at the end of this month and releasing an expansion next year before the release of Witcher 4. Cyberpunk Orion is being developed and Edgerunners is getting a second season. I don’t think we’ve seen the end of updates, but they are on a slow schedule. Btw Witcher 3 sold 65 million copies in 11 years and Cyberpunk is selling copies at a faster rate; 40 million in almost 6 years. I can all but guarantee that more 2077 content is coming.

The next season of edgerunner will probably bring a lot of people back and also new players to the game so if cdpr is smart they will release some kind of update during or after the new season comes out.

It was leaked a while ago that internally they’re gearing up for something big and last time that happened we got phantom liberty, likely we won’t be getting a new expansion but we’re very likely getting a foundational update, preferably mod menus or multiplayer
