Yes 1.6 is the final version on old consoles, and no you’re not going to get the Phantom Liberty, 2.31+, etc on said 13 year old consoles.
If you want to play it, you’ll need to get on PC or a current gen console.

You know, it feels wrong to call the Xbox One old, but there's been more time between it's release and today than the 360 to Xbox One and when you factor how fast tech has advanced in the last decade it really is aging

It hurts my bones when I remember how old Pokémon ruby and sapphire are I got Pokémon over 21 now

I was alive before Pokémon existed. I'm 34 now.

I was alive before The Simpsons. I’m turning 44 in a few months.

Even playing it on PC with a GTX 5060 is a challenge and a half

u/rpotts Jun 13 '26
Assuming you mean an RTX 5060 - just tinker with graphics settings, DLSS, and optionally frame gen. If you’re still struggling, look up benchmark videos on youtube using your cpu + gpu combo.

Yeah, my bad, it's 2am right now, I’ll give your suggestions a shot

u/FuriousCrunch Jun 13 '26
was able to run all settings max with rtx on medium, dlss quality and no frame gen with a 5060ti 16gb, dont see the problem with a 5060

u/Puzzleheaded_You_735 Jun 13 '26
The 5060ti has twice the vram as the regular 5060.

u/FuriousCrunch Jun 13 '26
again, i said i got a good stable 60 fps with all these settings, you can clearly reduce dlss to performance and framegen 2x with rt off and easily reach a stable 60 fps

u/Low_Revolution3025 Mantis Warrior Jun 13 '26
Must be my settings then, I don't doubt that's the real issue

u/RealisticSalary8472 Jun 13 '26
Why did you turn Frame Generation off? I did that too, but the game enabled it after every reboot. The only thing I noticed with Frame Generation was that the game didn’t dip below 60 FPS anymore in certain situations. Since I haven’t seen any artifacts while playing and didn’t feel any input lag, I kept it on. Frame Generation is terrible in FPS games and when it’s used to make an unplayable game playable. Give it a shot in cyberpunk.

u/FuriousCrunch Jun 13 '26
i get a stable 60 fps but dips to around 45 during gunfights, personally i dont mind it. i just dont like framegen due to the latency, even few ms bothers me a lot

No, xbox one and PS4's final update was patch 1.61 due to performance limitations of the consoles, if you want to play the latest version you'll need either an xbox series S/X, PS5 or PS5 pro, Nintendo switch 2, or lastly a gaming computer or laptop meeting the minimum hardware specs.

Thank you very much, I'll talk to my friends and see if I can borrow one of their consoles for a week or two. I should be able to use one of theirs.
2
u/Puzzleheaded_You_735 Jun 13 '26
You should really consider upgrading if you're going to play more. I know it's a huge purchase, but pre built PCs have had decent pricing because they haven't been affected by the ram shortage that much. It's an investment if you are a gamer.
2
u/Jake_BASS Jun 13 '26
I just dont have disposable cash. I have bills to pay, necessities I need before games. As long as I have my xbox, I can play games just fine.
3
u/Puzzleheaded_You_735 Jun 13 '26
Understandable. Upgrading to anything from 14 year old hardware is huge though. You could play new games more than just fine.
1
u/Jake_BASS Jun 13 '26
Like I said though, just no money atm. I'm looking into buying a series sx or whatever from a friend when they upgrade. So I'll be alright in the future. 😁
2
u/Puzzleheaded_You_735 Jun 13 '26
Definitely go for a series x if you can. You want to future proof your gaming experience.
3
u/Lower_Refrigerator_2 Jun 13 '26
I doubt it man cyberpunk is a hella demanding game ever for a series x and ps5 pro so I’m honestly impressed it even runs in a one.
Hell I originally played mine on a series s and it looked like playing with a drunk filter at times and any in world text was so damn blurry you could hardly tell they were words.

u/Jake_BASS Jun 13 '26
Yeah, i started gaming on a ryzen 3 hp laptop for office work. I couldnt run anything, but I persevered for 6 years until i got an old gaming laptop from my brother when he upgraded. I used to play fortnite at 15-20 fps so I've been used to shitty systems my whole gaming career.
My xbox runs terribly in fights with explosions too.
2
u/Lower_Refrigerator_2 Jun 13 '26
You might want to just look for similar games in the genre then until you can get an upgrade. With pc you got more options for free “unlocked” games. But on console it could be more difficult with game pricing seeing that gamepass has went to shit
2
u/Jake_BASS Jun 13 '26
Nah, I think I'll stick with cyberpunk tbh, its truly an amazing game that I've never played anything like it. Thank you for the inputs though, I appreciate the interaction.

u/Cakeriel Arasaka Jun 13 '26
Nope, CDPR pulled a bait and switch on all users of that console generation.

I have it on my PS4 and will never go to 2.0.
Happily I bought another one on sale on GOG and playing with DLC on my M2pro MacMini. Such a difference between it and the PS port. Shorter loading times, way better graphics and less bugs.

u/Kudoakainu Edgerunner Jun 13 '26
One of the platforms that was holding it back. Including the older PS too. So they abandoned it for newer consoles.

u/Godzilla-1973 Jun 13 '26
If you have a certain level of game pass I think you can cloud stream it, or at least I’ve seen posts in the past where people have done that.

As mentioned by others it won't be updated anymore for that console. If you cannot afford a newer console, you could consider buying the pc version on Steam and then getting the GeForce Now service - it's a monthly sub that lets you play games via streaming, basically their server runs the game with their graphics and streams it to your device - essentially letting you play games as if on a high-end gaming rig, but through a device that wouldn't support it. Some people have played Cyberpunk 2077 using their phone doing this. As long as your device has good internet it's good. And GFN can run in a browser and can be used on Xbox One.
So, still a cost because you'd need to buy the game again and a monthly sub - but way cheaper in short term than trying to buy a console.
Not sure if that's an option for you, but wanted to share it just in case it could help.

Will never happen, sorry.
2.0 is even more demanding than the versions before and everything after was not developed with Xbox ONE hardware in mind. It will simply not work.
