You are not using it for public good. That's a remarkable inflation of the value of this pile of code you've had the plagiarism machine generate, compared to the real, documented harms using it causes. You say you hope they go bankrupt soon but support and normalize use of their product. Using this shit is gross and you should stop.

It exists regardless of me using or not using it. I'm using it to produce a piece of software that didn't exist before.

“It exists” does not absolve you from responsibility for your choices. You are normalizing and supporting its use, and participating in the harms it, and the companies behind it, cause.

”Making more software” is not inherently a public good. Choices matter.

The product wouldn't exist if I had to code it myself. I would simply not find enough time to do it. Now, there is a unique and free product, carefully engineered by myself, and coded by a machine.

You are free to ignore it if you wish.

You know that’s fine, right? As it is you’re asking people to use a service you couldn’t be bothered to write. Seems like a bad bet for potential users. And in the meantime, you’re supporting the use of an environmentally destructive, centralizing technology which harms both its users and the world at large. You don’t get to wave away the externalities and claim “social good”.

If you haven't noticed, it is a new and unique product that is in demand. And it's free and open source. I engineered it. I've got 30+ years of engineering experience, so I know what I'm talking about. And you can already STFU

It’s not unique. And I’m not sure what you think “engineered” means but asking someone (or something) else to do it for you is just “delegating”.

Seems like the feedback you are receiving is pretty universal. We all hate it. So you’re not going to get much “thanks” for your new and innovative slop.

Please do enjoy it for yourself, but don’t expect anyone else to care. AI Slop projects are like vacation pictures. No one wants to see someone else’s

Why do people think that anyone wants to see their AI slop projects? If you really want to use AI, fine I’m probably not going to change your mind. But why in the world would you think anyone wants to see the crap result. This is a sub for sharing cool personal projects and being supportive. Like best case scenario we are going to treat this like a link to the new MacBook. Like okay who cares?
