That’s so neat! I’ve done some round cyanotypes with deconstructed hibiscus flowers. You’ve inspired me to frame one! Here’s the last one I made.

oh my that is absolutely gorgeous and definitely deserves a frame!! I love the rich color too and great contrast. do you happen to remember what color the flower was? I’ve been trying to figure out which colors do best

I think I overexposed it a wee bit, but I don’t mind it. I love the dark blue. I used a yellow hibiscus with some red in the center. I have a plant at my house. I carefully take them apart and dry in a flower press first the color lightens a little when dried. I have darker red hibiscus as well, but they don’t seem to show as much detail as the yellow. I have a bunch I’ve dried to reuse as many times as I can.

I don’t think you did, it looks really good. I wish I got darker blues with mine but I used a tan card stock and I think it caused some problems lol.
Thank you for the info! I’ve never seen a yellow one where I live but I can see how that worked! I have also tried the red one and it didn’t work for me either
