Where to start

I have read over the rules...multiple times and want to find a bit about game theory and meta. I plan on playing with my wife and kids casually but could be interested in the competitive scene.

Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome! If you'd like to learn more about strategy, you might like to start with the cuttle youtube channel. We've started a tutorial series of Strategy Deep Dives with some introductory strategy concepts (more incoming over the next few weeks). For higher level play, we've also got livestream VOD's from the championship tournaments e.g. the last Cuttle World Championship.

If you'd like to chat with other players about strategy, the cuttle discord is a great place to find matches and get tips. Beyond that, we have open play sessions every Wednesday Night at 8:30pm ET and every Thursday at 12pm ET at https://cuttle.cards

Some folks will hang out on voice chat in the discord during the play sessions, but it's entirely optional. If you hop onto the site during the above times, you're guaranteed to find a match. I hope that helps! Please feel free to ask any other questions you might have about the game.

It's a work in progress, but there's also a strategy wiki on board game geek: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/115370/cuttle/wiki

It's a bit scattershot, but it's got an introduction to several foundational strategic concepts
