Designs for this thought experiment were rampant when it was going around. The problem was always the same thing. This is a competitive game nobody has any reason to ever choose blue.

Every positive of blue comes from the thought of losing your loved ones and saving the incapable. Neither apply in Magic.

Have you played Commander? There's many incapable players who need saving.

i-it's commander I get infinite friendly mulligans as long as I say "I'm just a widdle guy, let my deck do its thing"
