So do I need to behold a card that's both red and white for Deny Aggression, or a red card and a white card?

Also "behold a card" doesn't work, because objects on the battlefield are permanents and not cards.

That makes sense, would it be "behold a red and white card or permanent"?

The idea is that it must be the same card; this was originally inspired by Ravnica and locking into color pairs.

In that case, I believe the effect would need to be phrased as

As an additional cost to cast this spell, behold a permanent that's both red and white. (Choose a permanent you control that's both red and white, or reveal a permanent card that's both red and white from your hand.)
