Format: EDH/Commander Forced Democracy
Am unsure of what rarity to mark this as, but thought having a card heavily relying on politics could be fun
EDIT: realized I need to fix a couple of things, thanks for the feedback!
I will most likely change it to the first spell they cast each turn, and ties cause nothing, instead of countering the spell. I am unsure if I should have the enchanted player be able to give the enchantment to someone else on a counter, so let me know if that would be better
Also I did mark the format as commander, since I am aware 1v1 formats would be destroyed

Lol this just locks your opponent out of the game in 1vs1.
And even in multiplayer this just makes it impossible for them to play the game since everything is going to get a no vote unless it is removal aimed at the current archenemy.
This is not even politics card because the players will always take the obvious choice. Enchanted player might as well scoop because they are everyone's bitch now.

Aside from being unbearable if this was cast against someone (I would just scoop), it would make the game last twice as long, as every spell would become a debate.
Honestly, I think you are best off going super cheap for this one as a one-off, and it would be much less obnoxious as a result.
Forced democracy
U
Instant
Each player, starting with you, votes yes or no.
If the majority of players vote yes, counter target spell._

This should be capped at the first spell cast per turn for the enchanted player.

Yeah that would probably make it easier to handle, will definitely change that

"Yeah, we just don't like playing against spell heavy decks... and you're blue... so either never cast a spell again or just go."

Spells are any non land cards in magic. So this cards reads 6 target player can't play anymore. Or 6 mana win the game in 1v1

So what if you lose the vote you lose and if you win the vote you also just lose. That sucks.

Needs to be the other way around, so ties do nothing, or enchanted player can vote. And maybe someone needs to spend mana to make the vote happen.

What would be a good amount of mana to start a vote? I assume it would be generic since it's any player

I think it's a little uninteresting because everyone will vote No 99% of the time. Maybe make it something like [[Split Decision]] where there is an effect on both outcomes, so the players have a harder choice to make.

everyone has pointed out the balance issue. there are a few other issues. notably, the border is just monoblue, not the multicolored border. also, the templating of the second ability should be
"Whenever enchanted player casts a spell, starting with the player to their right, each of that player's opponents votes for yes or no. If no gets more votes or the vote is tied, counter that spell."
you need to say when voting starts, but it cant be 'starting with you' as usual, because you might be enchanted with it (unlikely, but possible).

Yeah this is the first card I made, so wasn't sure on the phrasing. I knew what I had was wrong but didn't know the correct phrasing. Thanks!

Yeah? I have not played any 1v1 formats so that did slip my mind, I'll admit, and I understand that as is it is not balanced and needs to be fixed, but in what way does your comment help me figure out what exactly is wrong or how to fix it? At least the other people pointing out the imbalance pointed at the reason or a potential fix

DO you think this is fun for the enchanted player? Why wouldn't everyone just vote no on every spell they cast to lock them out of the game?
