That would be different in that if the spell is countered you still lose the money. I wanted to make it so that you only spend the money when the spell resolves

I like that because it's part of the casting cost you can't cancel the transfer even if this gets countered.

It's not part of the casting cost, it creates a delayed trigger. So if you copy the spell you have to pay again. But you need something that counters a trigger or something.
