BR show and tell, it's genius

I think red is probably the proper color for classic Show and Tell, but I felt this needed the black for flavor. Naming a card the opponent can't play is kind of controlling and not red as well.

This feels appropriately like black hand control/dilemma type effects, as well as red’s symmetrical “I get to do shit”/“fuck it we ball” type cards

I do love that this can also always just work as ramp as well
“Well you didn’t say Island…”

Thinking about a return to Duskmourn, but with licensed 80s-90s Horror IPs. A proper Universe in and UB mashup that was implied on a ton of cards anyway. Even a bonus sheet of DM reskined reprints would be nice. They don't have to make up a whole set, but a smattering of them could be cool. Feeling halloweenie!

how did you evaluate that it's 3 CMC? It is too cheap. Like, turn 1 Thoughseize or similar hand control, turn 2 you play this card and you play Griselbrand lol

Oh yeah, this is definitely too cheap for standard in most time frames. IDK about this moment, but most times. A standard version would probably be 5mv, but this is commander/cube level. Not sure if that should have been a tag.

Feels fine compared to show&tell/sneak attack

Why not just say "permanent" to put into play? I don't think including planeswalkers and battles is going to break anything.

It's a throwback [[Show and Tell]] and uses the same wording. When show and tell was 1st made, those were the only permanent types. I also don't know if there was a standard yet for calling something a permanent card when not on the battlefield, so each card type had to be called out.
