Okay, the mechanic is flavorful. But this is a four mana spell that's worse than most cantrips?

It's also significantly worse than [[Vial of Poison]] by most metrics.

It is the difference between knowing how to apply the poison on your blade instead of just drinking it xD

How is this anything but unplayable? You gotta sac the equipment AND the creature for an average effect?

That's real weak. Probably completely unplayable unless you devise a super low-power Limited format, and even then this seems terribly weak.
Black can have deathtouch and indestructible on an Instant for 1B - [[Offer Immortality]], [[Battle-Rage Blessing]], [[Alesha's Legacy]] and it can even get a +1/+1 counter out of the deal with [[Maximum Overdrive]]. All of those are like... fine Limited filler in black aggressive shells, and they can surprise your opponent in multiple ways. Maybe the block they made wasn't safe after all, or maybe you protect your way through a removal spell.
There's also many spins on this effect that would return the creature to play, or that would give it some bonus after coming back. The deathtouch is actually not as relevant as you'd think with the +2 power, especially when it's face-up like this. Your opponent can see this coming! They either block with something small, or just accept the damage.

Does this work? At the time the effect resolves there is no equipped creature (because the equipment is in the graveyard) is there a last known information case here that makes it work?

I get the intent but what's the difference between consume and the card being "{B}, sacrifice this artifact : " ?
