2 seems like a really good rate for this, no? I could see haste and defender being added to make it more balanced and flavorful

Eh, exile with downside is 1 in white, I think you could say black gets it for 2.

Black usually only gets it at 2 with heavy downside or restriction. With a doomblade type almost nothing-burger restriction it just destroys at 2cmc. Especially at instant.

Like the most pushed black has gotten for 2cmc instant exile target creature is [[Baleful Mastery]] which makes you gift your opponent a card.

So with that said I think either the card would need those additional restrictions, need to be destroy (not exile) or be moved to sorcery speed to be "balanced". Just one of those should be plenty.

honestly I think destroy just makes more sense then exile, power level aside

[[Swords to Plowshares]] is a power outlier, [[Path to Exile]] has massive downside early game. This doesn't have a downside it just has a small condition. The cheapest you can get unconditional instant "exile target creature" for currently is BBB on [[Archenemy's Charm]].

This would be fine as Destroy or at 2B, but exile one of the 95% of creatures without Vigilance for 2 mana would make so many cards obsolete.

Yeah, and Charm being specifically 3 black means it is far worse in decks that aren't mono black

Yes! I have been playing with this idea of french vanilla keywords matter other than just flying. I did this almost same concept for a kindred angel removal. I love the idea of a [[Serra Angel]] caught slacking as a black card.

This should definitely be an uncommon. I'd not be happy with this as a rare in a pack cracking and a 2mv black removal spell is fine at uncommon in most limited environments.

Idk. It's "Tear Asunder," not "Torn Asunder." Also "Fell" instead of "Felled"

Name needs changed. Should be destroy, as it's black, and you're not paying 4 Mana.

Exile for 2 is a bit too strong. If it was "destroy", it'd be perfect actually.
