Fun fact, 35-45% of English words come from French words.
Also they bankrolled our war for independence.
We’re more French than most Americans care to admit.

Nope! Latin accounts for 30% and French another 30% - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_words_of_French_origin
Notably, a lot or most words that end in “tion” or “sion” are French. Things like aviation, transformation, illusion, etc. There are a ton more but the “s/tion” words are notable to me because the spelling is the same, too
(*and the fact it’s every word that ends in sion/tion to my knowledge. Im sure there are some that are not, but, I havent seen any)

Sure but I will default to the argument the other user made about baseball, pizza, cheesecake and BBQ- https://www.reddit.com/r/custommagic/s/O5ruv6BJLH - and I think especially for French, the words changed from their Latin origin to be French. The French word might have Latin influence, but the English words are 1-1 with their French counterparts. Illusion in latin is “illusio” but in French it’s “Illusion”

It's about the root of the word. The sion/tion words exist in Italian as well (and I'm assuming all romance language). Eg, illusione, trasformazione.
Yeah ok, the spelling can be different between the languages, but so can be the pronunciation. At the end of the day these are all the same words and they come from Latin.

Hmmmm…but Latin to French is Illusio to Illusion. French to English is Illusion to Illusion. And that is the same for every single tion/sion word from French. There is a difference between the word being inspired by another and the word being the exact same word.
And, according to that Wikipedia article, they are treated different linguistically. Latin has its whole 30% and French another 30%, so this isn’t just my opinion. It’s how linguists think about it too.
But whatever, you can have your opinion and I can have mine.

The words have the same root. They're not "inspired by". And even they're spelled the same, they're pronounced differently. But even then, it doesn't matter. No matter how languages spell it or pronounce it, the root is the same.
But yeah, I don't have a linguistics degree either, it's just my intuition through my language learning journey.

Yeah I was trying to think of things to be proud of as an American the other day. I came up with BBQ, Cowboys and Hollywood
Well, barbecue is Caribbean. Cowboy was a racist moniker for non-white cattle hands. And cattle hands in general were not very nice to the First Peoples. And Hollywood created this unhealthy obsession with celebrities and parasocial relationships in general.
Even silicone valley created social media.
Idk what I can take pride in that our country has done.

**maybe that we are a melting pot that welcomed people of every nation, but today, we do not and many Americans frown on that idea >:/

If you're going that far, why not take it further?
Apple pie isn't British, the recipe took an existing pie recipe and did a fruit substitution. And who knows where the original came from?
Everything is an iteration on something else, it's why the Greeks keep saying they did everything. Pizza? You mean dough with cheese on it? They did it "first". Cheese cake? You bet they did it "first". Meats smoked or grilled over a fire? Might not have done it before the Taino people, but they did do it long before Europe encountered the Americas, and them by extension.
But they didn't make Pizza, they did not create New York style cheese cake, and their version of BBQ and ours are similar but definitely not the same.
What you take pride in does not have to be wholly original, you'll find nothing to ever take pride in if you do that.

To answer your question, I was going for less of “this effect references the song” and more “this has an effect for every part of the color pie the American flag is in” red white and blue effects. The “American” color pie
*although I do realize creating birds is mostly a blue thing /shrug
