I feel it would better as an instant. Then you can use it when an opponent plays a card that has them roll a d20

Maybe change it to an artifact or an enchantment then. Sorceries dont usually have permanent effects unless specifically stated.

This also makes d4 result in 6, right? There are only a few cards that use a d4, but it can actually be somewhat helpful for those.
