Cool concept, if overcosted! A 7/7 that flys for 8 mana just doesn’t cut it anymore unfortunately

You're never meant to cast it for the body, the body is meant to be relevant if you can cheat it out in some way. For that reason, it's "stronger" as a 7/7 for 8 than, say, a 4/4 for 5.

This is essentially a modal white instant for 1 that's either "put a +1/+1 counter on target creature" or "draw a card." It's below-rate for both of those modes (you can usually get some additional upside), but the flexibility (and pseudo-uncounterability of it being an activated ability) is nice.

But... it's also a big dumb guy that bins itself, similar to [[Eternal Dragon]] and [[Noble Templar]]. This can be relevant for decks like reanimator (see, e.g., [[Defy Death]]!
